---

**Connectors** link the Cephable assistant to other apps and services you are authorized to
use — a CRM like HubSpot, a ticketing system, an internal API, a database — so automations
can work with your data there. Where a [skill](/docs/using-cephable/automate/skills) teaches
the assistant how to do a task, a connector gives it the tools to reach another system.

A connector is an [MCP](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) server. Cephable connects to it,
discovers the tools it offers, and makes them available to automations. A connector that
needs an account signs in with yours, so it can only do what your account is allowed to do.

Connect over stdio, HTTP, or SSE, with API key, header, or OAuth authentication, and per-tool control over what it may call. Included with Cephable Pro.
